The GF2 will feature a host of updates, including an overall reduction in size and weight; 19 percent smaller and 7 percent lighter, the addition of a touch screen, more HD video capture options and compatibility with Panasonic's upcoming 3D lens.
In an effort to de-clutter the GF2 and make it look less intimidating, Panasonic has removed a lot of buttons from the camera, specifically the mode dial on top of the camera. Instead, you can access all of the camera modes (P,A,S,M, 17 Scene modes, etc.) via the 3-inch (460K dot) touch screen. Users will also be able to touch the LCD screen to focus on objects and to take pictures.
